School Council

School councils play a vital role in Victorian government schools and are established and operate under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic), the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017 (Vic) and a constituting Order. A well-informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to build and secure the school’s reputation. School councils establish the broad direction and vision of the school within the school’s community.

Parents and Friends association

Parents and friend’s association is a committee that can be made up of family members of the students at KHPS, teachers and non-school community members. Our role is to connect the community through events and raise money for things the school are aiming to buy. These events consist of school picnics and community events, mothers/father/special persons day stalls, Bunnings workshops, sausage sizzles. discos, colour runs and loads more. PFA currently meet once a month on a Wednesday at 5:25pm but times and days change each year as the committee and their commitments change.

If you would like to join KHPS PFA, please contact the school office or if you can’t commit to the meetings but would like to volunteer for events let the office know and they will add you to the PFA volunteers email list.
